About the Toyota Crown Signia

All new for 2025, the Crown Signia takes the Crown sedan and transforms it into an SUV. The hybrid drivetrain, all-wheel drive, and good looks that you like about the Crown are all here, just in SUV form. Power comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a hybrid system that delivers both 240 combined horsepower and a 38 mpg** combined fuel economy rating. It comes with loads of standard features, including absolutely cutting-edge safety technology. The upscale interior easily rivals those offered by luxury brands, and the stereo will satisfy even the most demanding of audiophiles. And the attractive design will satisfy even the most fashion-conscious of motorists.

What the Critics Say

I was honestly very charmed by the Crown Signia. I love that Toyota is experimenting with a nameplate that doesn’t create instant consumer recognition, because it means the automaker can experiment. I like that the Crown Signia blends the best parts of a sedan with the benefits of an SUV. I absolutely enjoyed the experience of being in the cockpit, which is quiet, flooded with light, and surprisingly calm.” — Jalopnik

The Crown Signia is one of the more intriguing additions Toyota has made to its SUV range in the last few years, in the same way the Crown sedan has added a little upscale spiciness to the company’s familiar car lineup. With its trendy and premium-looking exterior, the Signia seems a fitting successor to the also upscale-adjacent Venza. It’s a distinct presentation from the sedan, too, almost Lexus-like in its appearance.” — MotorTrend

What’s New for 2025

The Crown Signia is an all-new model for 2025, effectively a replacement for the outgoing Venza. As the name suggests, it is closely related to the Crown sedan, sharing the Crown’s standard drivetrain and also featuring an incredibly similar interior. It’s noticeably more upscale than its competitors, yet still comes with a firmly mainstream price tag.

Toyota Crown Signia

Effortless Practicality

Don’t let the good looks fool you, the Crown Signia sacrifices nothing in the practicality department. It is powered by the same hybrid drivetrain that comes standard in the Crown sedan, and its 240 horsepower combined with a 38 mpg** fuel economy rating strikes the perfect balance of power and efficiency. It’s also rated to tow 2,700 pounds, and the 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats is well above average for the segment. A hands-free power liftgate comes standard as well, so getting at all of that cargo space is no problem. All-wheel drive comes standard, so winter weather won’t slow you down. And when you need to load even more, the 60/40 split fold-flat rear seats make it easy.

Sophisticated Style

The Toyota Crown is available in four different trims with two different hybrid drivetrains. For XLE, Limited, and Nightshade trims, there is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to three electric motors, making a combined total of 236 horsepower. Meanwhile, the Inside and out, the Crown Signia is an attractive vehicle. The exterior sheet metal projects the more upmarket feel of the Crown Signia, especially when combined with the particularly fashionable paint colors offered with it. 19-inch two-tone wheels come standard, and upgrading to the Limited trim gets you 21-inch wheels in dark gray metallic. Inside, you’ll find an attractive and modern cabin, complete with heated and ventilated front seats, which come standard, along with a heated steering wheel and heated back seats. There is an available 11-speaker JBL® stereo to make the Crown Signia sound as good as it looks, and the standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility makes it easy to find just what you want to listen to.

Toyota Crown Signia Technology

Incredible Safety

Toyota became a leader in the world of automotive safety by remaining at the cutting edge of safety technology. You can see this in the Crown Signia’s blend of active and passive safety technologies. The Crown Signia comes with Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0, a suite of the latest in Toyota driver assistance and crash avoidance technology. This includes things like Pre-Collision System w/Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert w/Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist, Proactive Drive Assist. But there are also passive safety systems, for those rare instances when a crash does occur. In those situations, things like the eight airbags, side-impact door beams, and an energy-absorbing collapsible steering column all greatly reduce the risk to occupants.
