What the Critics Say

I absolutely fell in love with the GR Corolla. It’s not for everyone, and it’s important you realize that it will not be pleasant for any but the most stoic of passengers. This, though, is a car that made me grin and giggle like nothing else. It’s fast enough to impress but still slow enough that you can really flog it without being a risk to society. It’s a lot like the GR 86 in that way, and I think Toyota deserves a lot of credit for now having not one, but two of the best affordable sports cars on the market.” – Jalopnik
We took the GR Corolla to some of our favorite New York City-adjacent country roads over a lovely Spring week and had a hell of a time. The ride of this car can be firm, but it handles everything you throw at it. This car loves tight, twisty roads and broken surfaces, just as you’d expect from something with rally-car roots. It’s quick too. Once the turbo spools up, the GR Corolla feels like it has more than 300 horsepower. It’s hard to believe a three-cylinder is so muscular.” – Road & Track

What’s New For 2024

Back after its successful debut last year, there are a handful of key updates to the Toyota GR Corolla for the 2024 model year. Previously intended to be produced for a single model year, the exhilarating GR Corolla Circuit Edition is back for 2024 with a new Blue Flame exterior color option. Similarly, an all-new Premium trim joins the lineup with a front and rear Torsen limited-slip differential, red GR brake calipers, and GR Logoed suede-trimmed seats as standard equipment. Enthusiasts can now shop the expanded line of official Toyota Gazoo Racing performance parts to personalize their vehicles exactly to their liking.

Toyota GR Corolla Features

Toyota GR Corolla Performance

Thrilling Performance

In order to earn its coveted GR badge, the Toyota GR Corolla underwent countless hours of development and testing on the track. Based on the GA-C platform, this hot hatch is wide, rigid, and agile through the corners thanks to its extensive use of lightweight metals and materials used in key areas. Powering the GR Corolla is a revolutionary 3-cylinder turbocharged engine that features a single-scroll ball-bearing turbo to deliver an astounding 300 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. A bespoke GR-Four All-Wheel-Drive system, the first Toyota sports AWD system in over two decades, delivers exceptional levels of traction and control along with configurable settings to adapt to any situation. Instilling a bond between driver and machine is an innovative 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) with rev-matching that's tuned to accommodate high levels of torque. Further boosting efficiency is its unique 3-piece muffler with capped-off valves and brushed stainless steel tips that reduce exhaust backpressure.

Toyota GR Corolla Exterior

Rally-Ready Styling

Maximizing performance through weight savings, the rally-inspired exterior appearance of the Toyota GR Corolla is equally striking as it is functional. Circuit Edition models feature a Carbon Fiber roof, vented bulge hood, and a sporty rear spoiler. At the front, the GR Corolla features a black GR-badged functional matrix grille that hints at its ready-to-attack performance capabilities. Standard 18-inch gloss-black 15-spoke cast alloy wheels come wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires for exceptional high-speed stability and cornering grip. Slim Auto on/off LED headlamps and LED DRLs are standard as well, helping to deliver outstanding visibility along with a stylish complement to the front.

Toyota GR Corolla Interior

Driver-Focused Interior

The race-proven design of the Toyota GR Corolla translates to the interior as well, where drivers can take advantage of ergonomic controls along with a variety of cutting-edge tech amenities. Since driving enthusiasts crave access to key data and performance metrics, the GR Corolla includes a 12.3-inch color Multi-Information Display (MID) that has a GR meter with 4WD mode, turbo pressure, gear position indicator, and tachometer. Upgraded Ultrasuede® and synthetic leather-trimmed seats deliver a superb blend of comfort and support. Other standard interior amenities include a push-button GR engine start/stop button, aluminum sport pedals, two USB charging ports, 12V auxiliary power outlet, lighted footwells, front console tray, and rear console box. A standard Audio Multimedia system featuring an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® / Android Auto™ and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates makes it easy to stay connected and informed inside the Toyota GR Corolla.
