About the Toyota Prius
Totally redesigned for 2023, the Toyota Prius has been given the gorgeous looks that an icon like this deserves. The Prius is the vehicle that popularized hybrid technology, and this new generation is better than ever. It's not just the best looking, but the most powerful Prius ever built, without sacrificing fuel economy. And this new generation is longer, lower, and wider than the outgoing one, giving it a lower center of gravity that you can feel in the greatly improved handling. With a 57 MPG combined fuel economy rating, the new generation of the Prius gives you everything you've always wanted in a Prius, and also more than you ever thought possible.
What the Critics Say
What's New for 2023
The Prius got a total redesign for 2023. Not just a new body and interior, but the platform itself was redesigned, and a new drivetrain was added. This is essentially an entirely new model with the same name. The new generation is still built to be a practical fuel sipper, and it absolutely still does that, but now it looks great and is fun to drive as well.
Toyota Prius Features

Dynamic Styling
Since its introduction, the Prius has always been a leader in technology and practicality. But now it's a style leader as well, and easily one of the most attractive mainstream cars available. Styling touches like Bi-LED projector low- and high-beam headlights, as well as available 19-inch alloy wheels set the Prius apart, and the available fixed glass roof both looks great and fills the cabin with natural light. The Prius is also engineered with a double-wishbone style multi-link rear suspension to help absorb bumps and stay planted to the road surface. An impressive assortment of vibrant, expressive exterior paint choices helps ensure that your Prius reflects a personality as unique as yours.

Efficient Performance
Helping to make your journey easier on both the environment and your wallet, the Toyota Prius has efficient performance capabilities to help you enjoy every mile. Unlike the competition, the Prius is available with an optional AWD-e system to help you navigate challenging weather conditions without worry. Even your shortest drives will be a rewarding experience thanks to an available EPA-estimated 57 MPG city fuel economy rating**. A configurable 7-inch color Multi-Information Display screen allows the driver to monitor real-time driving information along with ECO-mode fuel savings. Individual drive modes offered in the Prius let you drive with increased throttle response for additional agility upon acceleration, drive solely on battery power for up to one-half mile under certain conditions, and maximize fuel economy.

Interior Versatility
Whether you find yourself carrying cargo, passengers, or even a combination of both — the Toyota Prius is up to the task with its standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats. You'll have room for all of your gear thanks to 23.8 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, easily accessible thanks to the power liftback. Even chilly winter mornings are no match for the Prius and its available SofTex®-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats, and there are even available heated rear seats, not something you see too often in this segment. All passengers will always be comfortable inside the Prius thanks to the standard smart-flow climate control system with humidity sensor and pollen filtration mode.

Cutting-Edge Tech
Advanced technology has always been a major strength of the Prius, especially as the world flagship for hybrid technology. But it doesn't end there, the Prius cabin is stuffed with even more tech; things like available heated rear seats, which are typically only found on much, much more expensive luxury cars. The 360-degree Overhead View and Curb View features make it easy to parallel park with precision, and the available 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen makes it easy to see these features. Thanks to the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a whole suite of safety technologies like lane-keeping assist and automatic high beams come standard.
